The philosophy behind the Academy is investment in human capital, to facilitate a rapid entry into the world of work. At the same time, the school is strongly oriented towards Corporate Social Responsibility which, in the case of Prostand, aims at supporting self-entrepreneurship and business start-up paths for young people.
Two initiatives are already planned: a course to train the figure of Wood Technologist and another to prepare Rigger, the technician for working at heights.
Both are highly sought-after figures. The Wood Technologist works throughout the world in the field of wooden furniture, trade fairs and congresses and as a furniture designer, with multiple career opportunities in the wood and natural materials industry.
The Rigger is a highly specialised figure in the temporary set-up sector, competent in occupational safety practices that enable the operator to set up, assemble and position suspension systems suitable for lifting and supporting set-ups, scenic equipment and auxiliary structures at height, with an activity that takes place both at height and on the ground.
The two courses are organised by OB SERVICE/Città dei Maestri, a non-profit organisation of which Prostand has been a member and industry partner for many years.

Rigger, the working at height technician
The enrolment deadline is 10 May 2023. The course will have 400 hours of classroom training, 200 hours of company internship with 70% compulsory attendance and is scheduled from 29 May 2023 to January 2024. The course will make it possible to obtain the Professional Qualification Certificate of RIGGER: RIGGER TECHNICIAN (pursuant to DGR 739/2013).
Both courses are free of charge as they are financed by the Emilia-Romagna Region with the aim of encouraging the employment of new highly specialised figures. They are reserved for young people and adults resident or domiciled in Emilia-Romagna prior to enrolment, employed or not employed in possession of an upper secondary education diploma or recent graduates.
The territorial network of the 17 companies supporting the course, of which Prostand is the main partner, represents the concrete possibility of broad and immediate access to the world of work.
